The New Hampshire winter season brings a unique opportunity to get out and view some of the states awesome beauty. Any winter
lover will enjoy New Hampshire, for its breathtaking views, clean country air, and superb trails with good old fashioned New England hospitality.

New Hampshire has more than 6,800 miles of groomed trails, and a dedicated snowmobile trail system that is one of the best in the world. The New Hampshire trails are groomed by local clubs, members of the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association (NHSA).

The Sandwich Sidehillers Winter Trails Club is a non-profit Winter Trail Club providing and maintaining a multi-use trail system across Squam Lakes, Sandwich Notch toward the Waterville Valley and White Mountain areas. Our objectives are to advance the interest, enjoyment, and safety of winter sports and to establish and maintain multiple use trails in the Sandwich area.

The Sandwich Sidehillers would like to thank all of the landowners who have been gracious enough to allow the Club to mark snowmobile trails across their property over the years. Without your generosity there would be no snowmobile or winter trail system for our members and area visitors to enjoy. Please consider this a thank you from all of our club members.

The Sidehillers meet at the Club House off of Wing Road.  Meeting dates and times will be posted.  All members, and non members are welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings. See the Event Calendar for meeting dates.

Trail Users

Most of the trails we service and maintain are on private property. Since New Hampshire’s landowners have a history of sharing access to their land with responsible recreationists which means that New Hampshire trail users, especially snowmobilers have a great responsibility to the landowners. These people are trusting all of us to treat their property with respect. Please stay on marked trails, carry out what you carry in and ride safely. Riding off the trail system or using the trails for purposes other than marked use requires asking for additional landowner permission. Never snowmobile on plowed roads and monitor trail condition reports for trail closures and reroutes due to logging operations.
