Sandwich Sidehillers

Hi all,

      There will be a Sidehiller meeting this Thursday, April 25th at 7:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse.

     The regular monthly meeting will be held this Thursday, February 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse.  I might even try to ride my snowmobile there for a change!  Hope to see you all there.

     Unfortunately, we have cancelled the Sandwich Sled Dog Race for this year.  We are very grateful for all of the volunteers who continue to help out with this event, and look forward to try for next year!  For anyone interested in sled dogs, there will be a “Fun Run” on Saturday, March 2nd starting at 9:00 a.m. in Wonalancet Intervale.

     The Sidehiller monthly meeting will go back to the regular time of Thursday, February 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse.   Think Snow!

The Sled Dog Race Committee will make a decision about the Race now scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23rd after whatever weather comes in Tuesday night.  The forecast is for rain &/or snow, but we really need some decent snow amounts at this point.  Please stay tuned!!

The Sled Dog Race has been postponed to Saturday, February 23rd since there is just not enough snow.  We are still hoping for some snow to add to the small base that there is, and we will keep watching the forecast (story of the winter, huh?)  Please consider volunteering by helping with trails or parking, working in the Sidehiller food booth, or cooking a crock pot dish or dessert for the food booth.  More info can be found under the “Mushing” tab.    

The regular monthly meeting will now be held on Thursday, February 21st at 7:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse as long as the Race is still on.  I will keep everyone posted, and thanks in advance for your help!
